Primate Ayodele’s Prophecy On Jonathan’s Running Mate For 2027 Election Resurface
As the 2027 electoral permutation heats up, former President Goodluck Jonathan has re-emerged in the political landscape as a significant contender for the presidency of Nigeria. His participation is expected to influence the dynamics of the upcoming election.
In the wake of trending news about former President Goodluck Jonathan’s acceptance to run for the Peoples Democratic Party ticket in 2027, a prophecy by Primate Elijah Ayodele re-emerged regarding who the PDP should choose as the ex-president’s running mate for the upcoming election.

Ayodele prophecy read:
According to Primate Ayodele: “If PDP wants to near victory, they should persuade Goodluck Jonathan to contest under the party to wake them from their slumber.
“The best option for PDP now is Goodluck Jonathan. I said he shouldn’t contest before but as it stands, he is the only one who can assist PDP from its final burial.
“If he can join forces with Saraki, together with a coalition of opposition parties, PDP has chances at victory.”
Primate Ayodele made it known that Jonathan is scared.
He urged the party to give him the support he needed in order to agree to contest.
“If Jonathan is ready, he should be able to do all of these but he is scared.
“The fear of the unknown is troubling Jonathan. If the PDP can persuade him and give him all the backing he needs, he will be able to help the party survive,” he said.

In a letter dated May 14, 2026, which was made available to our correspondent on Saturday, Maidoki notified the APC Ward Chairman of Rafin Zuru Ward in the Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State about his decision.

BREAKING: Governor Fubara Finally Announces His Party Ahead 2027 Election
Governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara, has dismissed reports claiming he had defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that he remains a member of the ruling party.
The governor spoke amid growing speculation and social media reports alleging that he had dumped the APC for another political platform ahead of the 2027 general election.
Reacting to the rumours, Fubara said there had been “a lot of drama” in the media over his political affiliation, stressing that nothing had changed regarding his membership of the party.
“I know that there’s been a lot of drama in the media, one story and another,” the governor said.
I remain a member of the Congress and nothing has changed. People should stop using whatever situation that they pick up from the social media or their own interpretation of any situation to present me wrongly.” Fubara further declared that he had not joined any other political party despite the speculation surrounding his political future, Nigeria Affairs reported. “I have not gone anywhere. I’m still a member of the Progressive Congress, and I remain a member,” he stated.
The Rivers governor also urged political supporters and stakeholders to prioritise the overall interest of the APC, regardless of ongoing political tensions in the state.
“Whatever happens, what is most important is supporting the overall interest of the party,” he added. The clarification comes amid heightened political realignments and permutations ahead of the 2027 elections, with several reports linking prominent political figures to possible defections across party lines.
