I Would Rather Join Bandits Than Sell Kulikuli And Akara – Mr Real

Published

on

Nigerian singer, Mr Real, has said he would rather become a bandit than take First Lady Remi Tinubu’s advice to get involved in small-scale businesses.

Daily Voice earlier reported that Tinubu had advised Nigerians to consider starting small businesses, such as akara, roasted corn, and kuli-kuli, which require little capital.

She said, “To start akara business doesn’t take a lot of money. To start roasting corn or kuli-kuli doesn’t take much. We didn’t give them a loan; we gave them a grant. We have encouraged Nigerians as best as we could. I also gave to several others.”

However, speaking via a series of posts on Instagram, Mr Real stated that he would rather join banditry.

The singer rejected the idea of petty trading as a solution to the country’s economic hardships.

He wrote, “I go rather join bandit than to sell kulikuli and Akara. And my target will be politicians. At least if am being caught they will habitat me. So is worth the risk.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian female disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch, has slammed the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, after she encouraged Nigerians to consider small-scale ventures such as selling akara, roasted corn, and kuli-kuli.

Speaking on the activities of the Renewed Hope Initiative, the First Lady said the programme had been providing grants, rather than loans, to vulnerable Nigerians to help them start businesses and improve their livelihoods.

She said, “We’re trying to give hope, and to start the Akara business doesn’t take a lot of money. To start roasting corn, or somebody even said kuli kuli doesn’t take much. We didn’t give them a loan; we gave it to them as a grant.

“So we’ve encouraged Nigerians as best as we could. What is within our hands, I have given, and I keep giving.”

The comments have since sparked outrage online, and DJ Switch has also condemned the remarks.

In a post on her Instagram, DJ Switch said that while other nations are creating spaces and infrastructure to develop their people for this rapidly evolving world, Remi Tinubu is encouraging the sale of kuli-kuli.

She wrote, “With absolute no due respect Remi! Thunder fire you! While other nations are creating spaces and infrastructure to develop their people for this rapidly developing world, you want us to sell kuli-kuli? And the otondo’s behind you are nodding their greedy necks! I can’t express how much I despise you, people.”

The University Deceived Me – Peller Opens Up On Why He Dropped Out Of School

Published

Popular TikTok streamer Peller has responded to people who often mock his educational background, saying he has not given up on his dream of earning a university degree.

Daily Voice reports that the influencer spoke during a live session on TikTok.

The social media personality said he still intends to return to school and complete his education.

According to him, his partner is already a graduate, and he also wants his future children to grow up with the same academic achievement.

He said he believes it is never too late to continue his studies.

Peller explained that he had previously gained admission into a university and paid more than ₦2 million in school fees.

However, he said he later stopped attending after the institution failed to fulfil what it had promised before he enrolled.

He claimed the school assured him that he would be allowed to continue his online streaming activities while attending lectures.

According to him, that arrangement was later withdrawn, making it difficult for him to combine his education with his content creation career.

The TikTok star also alleged that the amount he paid was higher than what many other students at the institution paid for their studies.

He said: “My woman is a graduate, and my future child will also be a graduate. We are all going to be graduates. Time is not late for me to go back to school.

“The university I wanted to attend deceived me. They deceived me that I would be streaming my classes, but they didn’t allow me stream, so I stopped going. I paid over ₦2 million. Even students attending that school today have never paid that amount, but I did.”

Wizkid has sparked fresh album speculation after posting a one-word teaser on X as reports of a Paris listening party begin circulating.

Wizkid sparked excitement after posting a one-word teaser about a new album on X.

Reports also suggest a listening party could take place in Paris this week.

Fans believe the rollout mirrors the strategy Wizkid has used before releasing major projects.

Wizkid took to X over the weekend with a post that read: “Album.” He gave no title, no date, and no further explanation, but it was enough to send fans into immediate speculation mode.

Hours later, reports surfaced that a pre-release album party is scheduled for this Thursday, June 25, in Paris. Neither Wizkid nor his camp has confirmed the event directly, but the timing, which lands just days after the cryptic post, has fans convinced that something concrete is already in motion behind the scenes.

The party is reportedly being thrown in partnership with Deeds Magazine at Cova Club, with Wizkid expected to perform a live set alongside DJs Yosa and Gingerboy, hosted by Sina and Rae Grey93. It follows recent Instagram stories showing him at studios near the Eiffel Tower, fuelling speculation that the album may have been recorded, at least partly, in Paris.
