Chukwuma Eyes Anambra Youths To End Political Dysfunction
Evidence of political activities by the candidates jostling for the upcoming governorship election in Anambra State come November 8, 2025, has shown that out of the entire candidates, it is only Chief Sir Paul Chukwuma who is ab initio, formidably prepared, ready and willing for the position, the incumbent inclusive. A distinguished entrepreneur, philanthropist, academic and politician, Paul Chukwuma is the Founder, Olivia University, Bujumbura, Burundi; Pro-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi, a first class graduate, he is a human capital developer, having invested heavily in education.
He is the President, Nigeria-Burundi Business Council; he has been described as a son of grace by his friends and allies. A look at the Anambra election that will take place on November 8, 2025, it carries a lot of weight considering the strategic position occupied by Anambra as a core Igbo state in the federation of Nigeria. That said, most of the big politicians in this country are all from Anambra, judging from Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, down the line, too numerous to mention, and Anambra has played a very big role in making Nigeria what it is today both in academics, commerce and industry, governance, politics, agriculture, among others.
Therefore, looking at the entire political scenario toward the November election, Chief Sir Paul Chukwuma, Onwa Umueri, Onyechinazo, the much I know him, he is most qualified for the job, being a vibrant youth, well-read and well educated. When you go into his family upbringing, Paul Chukwuma is somebody I will describe as a man destined to lead and to govern his people.
He is a staunch Catholic and also a Knight in the Catholic Church, he has done a lot of things in the Catholic Church, judging from training of Reverend fathers, seminarians, sponsoring religious activities in the church including church buildings, sponsoring people to travel to Jerusalem for pilgrimage, making handsome donations, to religious schools and even unity schools, because he tested poverty and God blessed him.
So he decided to use part of his wealth for the uplifting of mankind. Academically he is sound, very sound, you need to hear him speak, you need to hear him talk, you need to hear him analyse political issues in this country, very convincing, very vocal and unassuming.Paul Chukwuma is deeply rooted in grassroot politics, he was the national auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), apart from that, the office which Anambra State APC is occupying today was acquired and furnished by Paul Chukwuma before he left that party for reasons best known to him, and joined the Young Progressives Party (YPP) a completely youth party, in order to prove a point, to prove that he has the capacity, to prove that what has been going on in Anambra State is a child’s play.
He has made his footprint in every part of Anambra State, all the three Senatorial zones. He is well known, Anambra North, Anambra South, Anambra Central. When you move round, What is on the lips of every youth, every woman, every man, is Paul Chukwuma, Onyechinazo. So his work at the grassroot level has brought him to limelight. When we talk about his selling point, and what gives him the confidence that he will win the position considering the array of other candidates, his compassion for the downtrodden, his readiness to use his wealth to develop Anambra State, the way he has been doing, because ordinarily, periodically, he visits the senatorial zones in the state on philanthropic basis. He has been paying for WAEC exams for almost all the candidates in Anambra State, you can imagine that, whether he knows you or not, once you are ready and you can’t pay, he pays.
Then he has very classified approach to security issues in Anambra State which I am not going to disclose now because it is going to be a sellout to his opponents. He is a human developer, taking into consideration the establishment of Olivia University in Burundi, so he is a very good human Manager, and an employer of labor and other businesses, so he is not going there as a poor man, or to chase after public fund, he is going there to change things, to bring his wealth of experience in public governance, to Anambra State. His political network across the country, even at the centre is second to none, his oratory is top-notch, in fact, you need to hear him, you need to sit down with him, after hearing him analysing the political situation in Anambra State and this country, on your own, you will go all out to campaign for him.Leaving his former party is also germane giving the kind of personality he is.
He was a simple man by nature and abhors irregularities. Even though I have not discussed with him. But if anyone asks why he left APC, you now go and ask the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State why he left PDP, you ask Oborevwori the governor of Delta State, why he left PDP, you ask El Rufai, why he left APC, so why is his own a news. Even, if not that the law specifies that you must be a member of a political party to contest election in the country, I would have said let him run as an independent candidate, because he is capable.
Maybe he felt the process for the primary in his former party was not fair enough, but he felt the process was not fair enough, so he left early On issue of youth and how he is galvanizing the youths, Paul Chukwuma is at hom with the millenials, the genzees and the entire gamute of Anambra youths, He is already doing that, the youths are already singing his slogan, from Anambra North, Anambra South, Anambra Central, there are so many groups, so many forums coming up, supporting him because he belongs to the youths.
On issue of zoning, let me tell something about the zoning, it is not the making of Anambra people, at no material time did Anambra people came out and say we are zonng, that thing is APGA contraption, APGA is no more a political that you will use to rescue Anambra and the southeast, it is like one man show, it is not the making of Anambra State. It is the making of APGA Government, it is APGA Government that talked about it, from Peter Obi. So Anambra people did not at any material time say it must be this it must be that, no.
So that is not an issue as far as I am concerned.I am calling on Anambarians, men, women, youths, to queue behind Chief Sir Paul Chukwuma in order to rescue Anambra State, in order to revive Anambra, in order to make Anambra better, in order to provide adequate security in Anambra State, because he has what it takes, and he is not begging anybody for money, he is ready, capable, willing.

US Jails Popular Nigerian Politician For 5 Years, Reason Emerges
The United States court has jailed a 42-year-old popular Anambra State politician, Franklin Ikechukwu Nwadialo, for five years in federal prison for orchestrating a romance scam online, where he defrauded victims of over $3.5 million.
This was disclosed in a statement by the US Department of Justice, stating that the sentencing was handed down to him by U.S. District Judge Tiffany M. Cartwright on Monday, June 22, in Washington, adding that the crime was devastating.
Vanguard reported that Nwadialo is the chairman of the Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra.
According to the judge, the scam had caused severe financial losses and inflicted deep emotional harm on victims, which included “shame, depression, and isolation from their own family.”
In 2024, when Nwadialo was first arrested, the Anambra state government denied that he had once been appointed by Governor Charles Soludo. Law Mefor, the state’s commissioner for information and public enlightenment, spoke on the development on Saturday, November 9.
However, his sentencing has started generating reactions from Nigerians.
Below are some of their comments:
David Ogba called for sanctity in public offices: “Public office should symbolize trust, not scandal. Cases like this stain Nigeria’s image and deepen public distrust. Accountability must be swift, transparent, and extend beyond prison to public office too.”
Joedinho decried the damage the sentencing of the local government chairman had caused Nigeria: “Every time a public official gets caught in a case like this, people say it’s an isolated incident. At some point, that excuse stops being believable.
A local government chairman involved in a romance scam worth over $3.5 million? If true, that’s the kind of headline that writes its own criticism. Unpopular opinion: the real damage isn’t the money lost.
It’s the damage done to public trust and Nigeria’s reputation whenever a high-profile figure is linked to fraud. The most disturbing part isn’t the sentence. It’s that someone entrusted with public responsibility was allegedly running a scheme that targeted vulnerable people for millions.”
Nwa Regina claimed that Nigeria’s broken electoral system gave room for someone like Nwadialo to hold public office: “These are the criminals we entrust power to through our broken electoral system. Smdh!”
