Peju Ogunmola Breaks Silence After Losing Her Only Son

Veteran Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola, has spoken for the first time since the death of her only son, Ayomikun.

Naija News reports that the actress and her husband, veteran actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papi Luwe, lost Ayomikun,

After the unfortunate incident, there were speculations about the cause of the youngster’s death.

However, the family’s spokesperson, Yemi Amodu, released a statement clarifying that Ayomikun died after a brief illness in Ibadan and had since been buried.

Amodu said contrary to the claims spreading on social media, Ayomikun did not die from a bathroom accident or any form of domestic mishap.

After weeks of mourning, the thespian took to Instagram to reflect on her healing journey and thanked everyone who supported her through the pain.

She captioned the post, “A new month, a new dawn. The past months have been heavy, but your love, prayers, and condolences have carried me through the storm. Today I rise, stronger, grateful, and ready to embrace my passion again. The screens have missed me… and I’m back, doing what I love most.”

When the news of her son’s death broke, several Nollywood stars, including Dele Odule, Ronke Odusanya, Fausat Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Ebun Oloyede, Olaiya Igwe and Fali Werepe, visited the couple’s Ibadan home to commiserate with them.

Peju, daughter of the late theatre legend Kola Ogunmola, said she is ready to return to acting.

Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has sparked speculation of an impending divorce from her billionaire husband, Prince Ned Nwoko, following a series of cryptic social media posts amid reports of a deepening marital crisis.

The actress set social media abuzz on Friday after sharing a picture of her new house on Instagram with a caption that read, “I have a roof over my head and the next is divorce.”

Daniels’ statement comes just days after videos surfaced online showing alleged domestic altercations between the couple, claims which Nwoko has publicly denied.

Meanwhile, Ned Nwoko, who has four wives, including Regina Daniels, appeared unbothered by the swirling controversy surrounding their relationship.

During a recent interview on Channels Television on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the politician defended his polygamous lifestyle, describing it as more “balanced” than monogamy.

Speaking on how he manages four wives, the lawmaker compared it to standing on multiple legs, saying that having more than one wife provides better support and stability in life.

He also stated that he feels pity for men who have only one wife, describing such situations as challenging to maintain.

When questioned about the religious aspect of his belief, Nwoko maintained that the Old Testament permits polygamy and said that his decision was based on personal conviction.

He added that he has no regrets about his marital choices and would take the same path again if given the chance.

DJ Cuppy Reveals Why Her Elder Sister Tolani Stays Low-Key

Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola popularly known as DJ Cuppy has shared admiration for her elder sister, Tolani Otedola.

Naija News reports that in a post on X, the music producer described Tolani as one of the most low-key members of their family.

She said that her quiet nature carries a powerful presence.

Cuppy revealed that her sister’s strength is subtle but impactful, showing that true influence does not require loud display.

She wrote: ,“My sister @shesTolani might be the most “lowkey” in our family, but in reality her quiet strength speaks volumes. Iykyk.

“She reminds me that real power doesn’t need to shout up and down to be felt ”

Tolani Otedola, born on April 21, 1986, in Lagos, is the eldest daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola and his former partner Olayinka Odukoya.

She is a half-sister to DJ Cuppy and Temi Otedola, sharing the same father but having a different mother.

Tolani studied psychology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and has pursued a career in music as a singer-songwriter.

Her works include singles such as Tenderoni featuring Skales and Ba Mi Lo featuring Reekado Banks.

Tolani hosted a musical showcase in Lagos in 2017 to mark her return to the Nigerian music scene.

She is known for her quiet demeanour, which contrasts with the public lives of her younger siblings.

BREAKING: Death Strikes, Veteran Nigerian Actress Joke Silva Bereaved

Veteran actress Joke Silva has confirmed the death of her elder brother, John Silva, who died on August 29, 2025, at the age of 72.

The actress announced his passing in a statement on her Instagram page on Thursday.

“With acceptance of God’s Sovereign will, we announce the call to the glory of my dear brother, John Olabiyi Silva …long John Silva…Bros B…Uncle B…. my easy go lucky brother. Rest in peace. January 22nd 1953-August 29th, 2025,” she wrote.

The announcement comes as Silva continues to care for her husband, veteran actor Olu Jacobs, who has been battling dementia in recent years.

The news drew condolences from colleagues, fans, and well-wishers across the entertainment industry.

Actress Hilda Dokubo wrote in the comment section: “May his soul rest in the Lord.”

Comedienne and actress Chigul wrote, “I am so sorry Aunty….so very sorry.”

Although not a public figure, the deceased was fondly addressed by family and friends with nicknames such as “Long John Silva,” “Bros B,” and “Uncle B.”

He is remembered for his easygoing personality and close family ties.
