Peer Pressure Pushed Me To Do BBL – Mercy Eke
Reality TV star Mercy Eke has opened up about why she decided to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, stating that the decision was influenced by trends at the time and pressure from those around her.
Naija News reports that she shared the experience during an interview with Korty EO, where she revealed that she did not inform her mother before going ahead with the surgery because she expected strong disapproval.
According to her account, the recovery period after the procedure was very difficult.
The Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner noted that the first few days were extremely painful, especially the initial three days, and that patients are unable to sit or sleep on their backs for about two weeks while healing.
Despite the discomfort she went through during recovery, she said she is now satisfied with the outcome and feels comfortable with her body after the procedure.
Eke said, “I got a BBL because it was trending and there was a lot of peer pressure. I didn’t tell my mum because I knew she would discourage me. You can’t sleep on your bum for 14 days, and you’ll cry for the first 3 days from the pain… but look, it’s soft now.”
